RRS gets 25 patrol vehicles


TO enhance operational coverage and visibility in policing, the Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF) on Thursday donated 25 patrol vehicles to the Rapid Response Squad (RRS).

The vehicles were handed over to Police Commissioner Hakeem Odumosu by the Executive Secretary LSSTF Abdulrazaq Balogun at the State House in Alausa.

Balogun said the donation was part of periodic injection of additional equipment to assist the police in crime prevention and fighting, especially during the yuletide.

Commending the RRS for the strides recorded in crime control, Balogun said several good reports have been received from Lagosians on their activities, assuring that the trust fund would continue to support the squad.

Odumosu, in his remark said the donation has further emboldened the police to go all out in the protection of lives and properties, pledging that they would be put to good use.

The police chief appealed for more logistics to enhance the operational performance of the force across the state.

At the event was the Commander RRS Tunji Disu, a Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) and his deputy Assistant Commissioner (ACP) Adewale Ajao.
