Governor reshuffles cabinet, as Finance Commissioner resigns

Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Muhammad has reshuffled his cabinet. The state Commissioner of information and Communication Dr. Ladan Salihu, who disclosed this to newsmen on Wednesday in Bauchi, said that the reshuffling was with immediate effect.

He said Nura Manu Soro, from Ministry of Finance, was moved to the Ministry of Youth and Sports while Umar Adamu from Ministry of Water resources is now to take charge of Ministry of Finance.

Barrister Jadauna Tula who was in charge of ministry of cooperatives will now head Ministry of Water resources.

Also, Usman Muhammad Saleh from Ministry of Youth and Sports is now to head Ministry of small and medium scale enterprises.

Manu Soro Resigns As Finance Commissioner
Bauchi State Commissioner of Finance, Nura Manu Soro has resigned from office barely three months after he was appointed and sworn-in.

He was sworn-in alongside other commissioners on September 11.

Manu Soro made the announcement via his verified Facebook page. “I’ve resigned my position as Commissioner of Finance and member of the Bauchi State Executive Council. I’ll issue a press release on the situation later In Sha Allah,” the post read.

Though no reason was given for the development, feelers have it that it may not be unconnected with the minor cabinet reshuffle announced by the government which moved Manu Soro from the Finance Ministry to the that of Youth and Sports.

All efforts to get an official reaction from the government proved abortive as all those contacted to speak declined. Also, calls put through to his number was not successful.
