The Lagos State Publicity Secretary of All Progressives Congress (APC), Joe Igbokwe, has reacted to the special recognition bestowed on Rep Boma Goodhead for putting her life on the line during the siege to the National Assembly last Tuesday.
The Senate President, Bukola Saraki, at a World Press Conference on Wednesday, described her as an ‘activist and hero of democracy’.
However, reacting to Saraki’s commendation of the Rivers lawmaker, Igbokwe claimed that her actions were well scripted and does not represent a true hero of democracy.
He insisted that nobody becomes a hero of democracy overnight.
Igbokwe wrote on his Facebook page: “Boma, an activist and a ‘hero of democracy?’
“No Sir, she was acting a well-prepared script.
“Nobody makes it to the world series overnight. Sir, I know heroes of democracy in Nigeria.”
