Abagana community calls for CP’s removal



Inhabitants of Abagana community in Anambra state have called for the removal of the state Commissioner of Police, Mr. Sam Okaula. The community, under the aegis of Abagana Welfare Union called on the Presidency, the Inspector General of Police and the Police Service Commission to immediately transfer the CP out of the state.
They also sought for thorough investigation into activities of the state police boss, who they accused of ‘betraying the confidence of the public as Abagana people are no longer secured under his watch.”

Addressing newsmen after its meeting, spokesman and acting President-General of the union; Emma Ifeadike and Chief Ben Ugha, accused Okaula of hurriedly arresting and detaining traditional chiefs, lawyers and other illustrious sons of the town as directed by the Ukpo oil mogul, (name withheld) in a bid to silence Abagana people over a disputed land.
