The Adamawa State police command have confirmed the arrest of a gang of thieves, who stole $10,000 dollars and a luxury car belonging to a hotelier in the state.
Sulaiman Abba, son of Governor Muhammadu Jibrilla’s Chief of Staff, Abdurrahman Abba and four others were accused of stealing a Toyota Avalon and $10,000 cash belonging to Umar Pali, the owner of Hometel Hotel in Yola. Members of the gang include Sulaiman Abdulraman Abba alias Babajo, Zaharaddin Adamu, Sagir Bala, Adam Adam and Aminu Umar Zing.
Confirming the arrest, the police spokesman in the state, SP Othman Abubakar said Sulaiman and four accomplices were interrogated at the Criminal Investigation Department and arraigned before the court.
A police source disclosed that the suspects had shared the money, sold the stolen vehicle in Niger Republic and bought a Honda Accord car which was found in their possession.
