BBOG demands speedy trial of arms suspects

Bring Back Our Girls Protest At Nigerian Embassy

The Bring Back Our Girls (BBOG) campaigners have demanded speedy trial of suspects in the arms procurement scandal to assuage the pains of terrorism victims in the country.
The group made the demand yesterday as they marked the 869th day since about 219 girls were seized from their school in Chibok, Borno State in April 2014.

The leader of the group, Oby Ezekwesili, who read a six-point demand, called on President Muhammadu Buhari to direct the Attorney General of the Federation (AGF) and the EFCC to set up a special desk to fast-track trial of persons indicted in the arms procurement scam and provide regular updates to Nigerians.
She also wants the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Justice Mahmud Mohammed, to stop unnecessary adjournments in the trial of suspects of the terrorism funds misappropriation.
