Emir blames police for rising crime

The Emir of Kazaure, Alhaji Najib Hussain Adamu has blamed long stay of police personnel in particular locations for their inability to check rising crime rate in some localities of Jigawa State.

The Emir stated this yesterday at a stakeholders interactive meeting organized by the state police command in Dutse, saying there were some police personnel that have stayed in particular locations for over 20 years without being transferred.
The Monarch, who was represented by his council member, Yusuf Mahmood, said by the time a police officer over stayed for such a long time in particular locality, his familiarity within the locality will render him ineffective in discharging his statutory responsibility.
In his remark, the state police commissioner, Henry Fadario promised to look into the issue of police that had over stayed in their posting.
