The murdered Abuja preacher, Deaconess Eunice Mojisola Olawale, was buried amidst tears at the Gudu Cemetery, Abuja, on Saturday. Coincidentally, that was her birthday.
The Pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), FCT Region 10, Pastor Emmanuel Ibitayo, described Eunice as a martyr. He said that the church celebrated her life and efforts to propagate the gospel.

Speaking during the funeral service at RCCG, Newlife Assembly, Phase 3 Junction, FHA, Kubwa, he admonished Christians not to relent in propagating the gospel in the face of several challenges.
Ibitayo, in a message titled: “Let me die the death of the righteous,” said that the preacher ended well.
Pastor Olawale Elisha, the husband of the deceased, recalling how she was murdered, said that he was saddened by the incident, regretting that he was not there to rescue her.
He described his late wife as a warrior.
He said that the late deaconess lived a worthy life and drew more people to God by her death.
“I thank God for the way the government and body of Christ took up the case and there was strong presence of security operatives during the burial,” he said.
President Muhammadu Buhari, represented by the Secretary to Government of the Federation, Babachir David Lawal, said that the law would pursue its course, regardless of Eunice family’s wish to forgive her murderers.
He said that Nigerians were free to practise their religion.
