The former Osun State deputy governor, Senator IyiolaOmisore, has described the decision of the federal government to revisit the murder of the former Attorney General and minister of Justice Chief Bola Ige and Chief Dokubo as a welcome development.
He, however, urged the federal government to extend its search towards unravelling the killers of late Funsho Williams and OdunayoOlagbaju just to mention a few.
Speaking through his Media Director, Prince DiranOdeyemi, the former deputy governor also advised the federal government and the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Ibrahim Idris to widen the scopes of their investigations to all areas rather than limiting themselves to a particular area or section.
Senator Omisore who had earlier been dragged to court over the issue and subsequently discharged and acquitted noted that “the investigation will further exonerate him”
In his words: “I am particularly happy that fresh investigations will further exonerate me and others who were wrongfully framed up, suffered untold hardship before we were finally acquitted and discharged by the court”
He further prayed to God, to expose all the people connected to all the killings under investigation and wished the new Inspector General the best in the task ahead.
