The Bauchi State Police Command has arrested a 23-year-old ex-convict, Abdullahi Suleiman, for alleged impersonation during the ongoing recruitment exercise into the Nigeria Police Force.
Also, eleven other applicants were arrested for alleged certificate forgery and have been charged to court.
The screening of applicants into various ranks including Cadet ASPs, Inspectors and Constables in the Nigeria Police Force, at the Police Training School, Yelwa, Bauchi, began on June 6, 2016.
The Police Public Relations Officer, Bauchi State Command, Haruna Mohammed, said in a statement on Friday that the ex-convict was in the Police as Constable before he was convicted and dismissed from the Force in 2010.
Mohammed, a Superintendent of Police, said that the suspect re-applied into the Force during the ongoing exercise with different credentials bearing Kabiru Dikal.
