Officials of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) have been urged to be polite but firm in dealing with motorists, particularly those who violate traffic regulations on the highways.
The Zonal Commanding Officer, RS 7HQ, comprising FCT and Niger State, Assistant Corps Marshal Kingsley Agomoh, gave the advice during a familiarisation tour to the Kubwa unit command where he commissioned a plague bearing the vision and mission of the corps.
He enjoined the officials to be focused and disciplined with a view to reducing the rate of accidents to barest minimum.
He appealed to motorists to reciprocate the gesture by conducting themselves properly and obeying traffic rules.
“They should not run traffic light, check their tyres to ensure they are not expired, avoid loading on the highways, and shouldn’t drive against traffic because the lives they save may be theirs,” he stated.
