Kaduna State Police Command Wednesday paraded 12 suspected kidnappers, 28 others involved in armed robbery, cattle rustling others crimes in the state. Speaking while parading the suspects before the journalists in Kaduna Wednesday, the state Commissioner of Police, CP Adamu Ibrahim said 8 of the kidnappers were arrested in Kachia, 3 in Kajuru, 3 in Jakaderebi and the remaining 1 was arrested from Kasuwan Magani.
CP Ibrahim said about 7 notorious and trans-border armed robbers were arrested including a Nigerien, based on technical intelligence report. According to him, “Operations of State intelligences group smash 7 syndicates of notorious armed robber’s gang including one from Niger Republic. “The hoodlums specialised in snatching vehicles at gun points in Kaduna and neighbouring States.
They also usually take the stolen cars to Niger republic to sell them to one Alhaji Dauda of Maradin in the republic. “The command Interpol and Nigeria Police are working in collaboration to arrest the Alhaji Dauda to face the wrath of the law. “Arrest of armed robbery and recovery of fire arm: On 20th May 2016, the Area Commander Kafachan Patrol Team arrested one Yakubu Jack Albdullahi of Atiku village with AK47 rafil and investigation is on-going.
“Arrested of cattle rustlers and recovery of fire arms: from 21st May 2016 Special Anti-Robbery Escort of State CID on a tip off arrested on Musa Adabo and Umaru Usman who are suspected to be cattle rustlers led the Detectives to their hid outs at Chikun areas where other members of the gang engaged the police in fears gang battle. Two additional suspects were arrested and other compliance escaped into the forest. The Commissioner therefore appealed to the general public to always assist the Police with relevant information as the Command is working around the clock to snick out all criminal element from the state.
Items and exhibits recovered from the suspects include, 1 AK47 riffle, 1 pump action, 2 brand new pistols, 100 MM life ammunition, 3 life cartridges, 11.62 life ammunition, 4 vehicles of different made, 2 anti-vehicles tracking devices.
Others include 1 local made pistol and empty magazine of AK47 raffle, 103 cows and 23 sheep, 1 AK47 raffle, 2 AK47 raffles, 7.62 life ammunition and 300 cows and the cows will soon be handed over to the committee or cattle rustling.
