WHO says health workers killed in Aleppo hospital attacks

The World Health Organisation (WHO) said three doctors and three nurses working in the northern Syrian town of Aleppo lost their lives as a result of recent attacks.

 

WHO Spokesman, Tarik Jasarevic, said on Friday in a statement in Geneva that the healthcare personnel who lost their lives include; a gynecologist, a pediatrician, a dentist and three nurses.

 

He also warned that targeted shelling and bombings were also especially deadly for civilians in and around affected areas.

Jasarevic said report by Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF), which supported stated that the attack on Al Quds Hospital on April 27 killed at least 55 people including six staff members.
