SAFETY ON HIGHWAY OGUN CP TAKES OVER ASSESSMENT AND DEPLOYMENT OF TEAMS

The Commissioner of Police Ogun State CP Abdulmajid Ali has personally taken over the assessment and deployment of patrol teams along ever-busy Lagos/Ibadan and Lagos/Sagamu/Benin Expressway with adequate instructions to solidify security  arrangement along the highways for protection of lives and property of computers and other road users within Ogun State.

CP Abdulmajid Ali led a team of senior officers and heads of Departments on Wednesday 6th April, 2016, to strategic points along these highways where he deployed teams accordingly.  The areas of concentration or flash points included Sagamu Interchange, ogere, sapade, Oni Gaari, long bridge Isheri, wawa ibafo, Ososa, Odogbolu, Ogbere J4 etc.

The teams, more than 30,deployed including Safer Highway, Quick Response Squad,  Special Anti Robbery Squad, Police Mobile Force, Anti Crime Patrol teams and Anti Kidnapping Squad, will henceforth be held responsible for any security lapses within their areas of coverage along the highways within Ogun State.

The Commissioner of Police Ogun State CP Abdulmajid Ali, who was accompanied by the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Operations DCP Bello Makwashi, Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of CIID, DCP Shina Olukolu, Area Commanders of Sagamu and Ijebu Ode, DSP Muyiwa Adejobi PPRO Ogun and others, however warned the teams  to be thorough and professional in discharging their duties  as he will not tolerate any act of corruption or incivility to members of the public.

CP Abdulmajid Ali also appealed to the general public to support  the police in its bid  to provide adequate security for lives and property in Ogun State and Nigeria at large.  He urged the general public to make distress calls and report  any inappropriate behaviors of Police personnel to the command through  the following links : 08123822910 or 08037168147 5 or 09053872295(Complaint Response Unit).
